Hello there. I’m looking for a training plan
Just not sure what to get.
I used to race years ago, mostly Crits.
Combined with speed skating was a very good cross training.
My sprint was excellent. Now I’m looking for more steady power and to improve my endurance.
After 15 years being off the bike I decided to get back on it.
I did some good friendly rides this year but the racing bug bit me again.
I’m 53 years old
I have about 10 to 12 hrs a week to work with.
I would love to do a stage race in Vermont next year, but my climbing is not good at all.
Thanks. Jairo
Hi @nickjairos537 - welcome to the forum -
With 10-12 weeks to work with and being a crit guy I will recommend our
but then get on our crit plan and stage race plan to accomplish your goals:
Thank you for quick response! I just pick up the plan.
And waiting for instructions.
Hello there. I got the email from training peaks but the tab to accept the plan is not there😳
Looking into the forums for this topic.
My email address Nickjairos537@gmail.com
Same email I used to create the training peaks
Jairo,
Vermont has two quality stage races. Killington Stage Race Labor Day Weekend and Green Mountain Stage Race Memorial Weekend. Killington has a circuit race Saturday, Queen Stage RR Sunday and Monday TT, Green Mountain Starts with an uphill TT on Friday, Circuit on Saturday, RR on Sunday (includes App Gap climb) and end with a downtown crit in Burlington on Monday.
Same organizers do both. Fun races, super fast and competitive. Bring you A game, I’m 58 and doing GMSR. Racing Wilmington Whiteface early June so opting out of KSR. Hit me up if you need info coachleland@gmail.com (retired hoops coach, not cycling coach).
Thank you! Dan. My kid is a junior and did both races this year.
I was there to support him.
Next year I would like to be in the mix!
