Incorporating Weight Training or Low Cadence Intervals

I could be completely off the mark here, but I am 40 and am looking for a way to keep weights as a constant in my training. I am about to start the Hill Interval Program after completing the Sweet Spot training. I am curious if there is a way to add in Weights or Low Cadence intervals into the program or possible look at doing some level of periodization by adding it in during the regeneration weeks. Really appreciate in thoughts or direction. Thank you so much.

FasCat advocates 10 weeks each year of bike strength training then stipulate that intervals are enough to ‘maintain the strength gains’.

@richardsmith - its important to distinguish between the off season and ‘on’ season.

During the season we do not advocate squats, leg press, leg curls rather the strength and conditioning work found on your plan’s recovery days : Foundations, REVO and Yoga.
