Have to travel - need to tweak plan a bit

Hi I need some help figuring out my training plan. I’m on week 2 of the 6 week sweet spot plan. I’m supposed to:

Weds - Tempo intervals
Thurs - Zone 2
Friday - Rest
Sat - Group Ride Sat (20-60 mins sweet spot)
Sun - Zone 2

Now I have to travel and can’t ride Saturday. What should I do?


The sweet spot ride on Saturday is an important workout and since it is the hardest ride of the week (highest TSS) you should do while fresh. So you should move that to Sunday. Then Friday you can do your zone 2 ride from Sunday. It’s the best you can do with the situation.
