Adjusting annual training plan

I recently started the 32-week Off-Season plan and am still in the foundation phase. Unfortunately, since how much (if at all) racing there will be next year here on the East Coast, I took a guess at when I would want to be peaking. Sure enough, since then the date for my A race has been announced and I was off. As things stand now there’s a 3-week gap between the end of SS3 and my race, which obviously isn’t ideal for getting race-specific intervals in (crits, in my case). My question is whether I should adjust the plan now so I don’t need to fully cut anything or whether I should just plan on having a truncated interval plan?

3 weeks is fine unless it’s your A #1 race .
Treat the race like a hard group ride and it’ll be good training too
