Post-ride nutrition while on weight loss plan

I’m on the weight loss plan. I’ve read I should still do normal in-ride nutrition, and I’m doing it, like so: During Ride Nutrition & Hydration: What, When and How Much to Eat – FasCat Coaching

Should I also do normal post-ride (2-3 hour rides) nutrition like this or skip it:

BTW, I’m in my off-season training (weights + base). No races or anything for several months.

My opinion is yes, as that time right after the workout (in particular a longer ride) is the best time the body can absorb the carbs. I will also be going back on the weight loss plan starting next Sunday but still plan to have carbs after long rides.
