I just completed a road racing intervals plan and rather than do the 20 min FTP test, I went out and did a 2x20 workout. I did 297 and 290 watts for the two efforts w 5 minutes of rest in between. Can I use that to determine my FTP? If so, what would it be?
Hi @edward.krasnai - 2x 20 is not going to be as representative or accurate as a true field test -
Because you didn’t go all out. Your 297 & 290 could be 315 once. You won’t know until you try and that’s why unfortunately.
2x20’s get you pretty close but go all the way with an all out 1 x 20 workout
