Hi all, very new to this and a bit overwhelmed by all the information and data points. Before I signed up I confirmed I wouldn’t be using a power meter only a heartrate monitor but it seems these plans are much more geared to having a power meter and I’m wondering if I made a mistake. Can anyone help me with what I need to do or change since I won’t be using a power meter?
You can train with HR and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion)… You can base your ride off of feel from a score between 1-10.
1-2/10 is Recovery
3-5/10 is Zone 2 Endurance
5-7/10 is Zone 3 Tempo
7-9/10 is Zone 4-5 sweet spot/Threshold
10+/10 is zone 6 VO2/full gas!
