Fondo plan vs Road race intervals

Hi guys,
I am wondering what’s the difference between the Fondo plan vs the road race intervals plan? Can the intervals plan also be use for a fondo race or is more for flatish course? Thanks in advance

The road race interval plan spends more time on explosive efforts to prepare you for attacking, short explosive climbs, and sprinting. The Gran Fondo plan will be more based around long, steady efforts to prepare you for challenging courses and lots of climbing.

For long and hilly Gran Fondos I’d say they aren’t the very best plans to interchange, but if you’re racing a Gran Fondo that’s on a punchy course and you plan to be mixing it up and racing aggressively, the road race intervals might work well.

Thanks Christian, really appreciate it.
