Pretty sure cross will be cancelled or curtailed this year, and in any case I am thinking of taking a racing vacation this year. Normally the sequence is resistance/base>sweet spot>intervals>race season if I understand you guys correctly. What should be the sequence this year assuming no racing?
Basically the same thing we have done with our road, gravel and mountain athletes, treat it like a real season. Do a bigger base period but then still continue with race efforts and creating mock races. Whether these be through simulation rides, Strava challenges or etc. You don’t want to to go a whole year without doing race intensity. You could loose some off your top end and would take you longer to get back to where you were.
