Bunny hopping can be a valuable skill to have for all types of cycling. It’s particularly valuable for cyclocross and mountain biking. For my cyclocross athletes, I will soon be incorporating some bunny hop practice in to their training programs. @FRANK and I were thinking about creating some “how to” videos for this, too. Would this be of interest to any one? It would be something similar to this but shown on a cyclocross bike. https://www.wikihow.com/Bunny-Hop-on-a-Bike
I am down for learning how to bunny hop better. Everyone can practice their bunny hopping skills weekly. Golfers goto the putting green, baseball players take batting practice, cyclocrosser’s do 10-20 bunny hops each day. Hup!
In honor of Jeremy Power’s retiring and being one of the best bunny ‘hoppers’ here’s a tribute video from a course up in Ft. Collins that both Coach @Brandon and I raced.
I can’t speak for Coach Brandon but I had to run this section These railroad ties are only 4-6 inches high and totally doable if you practice !
Oh yeah. Def following! One of my goals for this season, actually!
For sure, would love to learn how.
That would be great! Started working on this last summer. We had a small cx group that met once a week and we always mixed in some bunny hop practice. Started to feel comfortable on 20-25cm height barriers, but anything taller seemed like a real challenge.
We will be getting some tips out to you all soon!
Hey everyone, we filmed a sweet bunny hop tutorial video with Coach @Brandon the other day and it turned out to be an awesome one! check it out: https://youtu.be/rp2SqvpjNBE
Let us know what other “how to” videos you’d like to see!
