Weight lifting for cyclist vs triathletes

I’m wondering what the main differences are between WEIGHT LIFTING FOR CYCLING and RESISTANCE TRAINING PLAN FOR TRIATHLETES. I’m planning to start one of them in January. I have a 70.3 Ironman on June 21st which will be my first one and pretty much my only goal is to finish and stay healthy. My main discipline is CX.

There would be swim, running and upper body workout s in the resistance training plan for triathletes.
