Training Time to Adapt to your Personal Goals

Bought the 6 week gravel plan plus the in season. My personal goals for events range between 35-50 miles (70 years old). Question is: the interval times are no problem but some of the weekend rides are 3-6 hours. How much should I reduce the time for the longer rides to accommodate the time mileage for the events I have planned? Thanks!

You want to have your long weekend and weekend simulation rides match the duration of your races. Go by time not distance. You’ll go faster in a group and cover more miles faster. Also look at intensity factor TSS of your events. Again during your simulation workouts you want to build up to what you will be doing in the race. Using TSS shows you the actual work you are needing to do.
