Dear Fascat Just think about using the taper plan for this (see link below) as as suggested by Frank. I’ve been following an intermediate plan albeit with very long zone 2 rides at the weekend. Would you recommend either the intermediate or basic taper plan?
You could just do the basic plan. You will want to be fresh going in. The difference between them really is only about 2 hours of riding in two weeks. So not much as usually freshness is the game of a taper.
However on the day before you start you may not do traditional openers. You would more than likely just do an easy 30 - 60 minutes easy on your ride set up to make sure everything is good. That everything fits on the bike, everything is tight, nothing rubs and etc.
