Short offseason

Merry Christmas everyone! I’m currently doing the 10 week strength training plan and things are going well. I’m scheduled to finish the plan January 30 th. My first race is scheduled for March 5th, which doesn’t give me a lot of time to train.(Texas road races are typically early in the year)
Should I start adding more time on the bike (I’m doing the basic plan) or what would you recommend as I would like to be competitive for this race.

You’ll have to also think about when your A races are, and how long your season is.

If you want to be fit for the start of the season, you could do a plan like Intervals for Road Racing

If you feel like you have more time to ride than the Basic plan offers, then a bump up to the Intermediate plan could work well.
