Pushing the top of sweet spot

When you are on a trainer and able is it better to ride at the top level of your sweet spot if you can handle it? Particularly on a trainer and the shorter 10 min efforts?
Thanks

The only thing you want to worry about is riding too close to your FTP to where you will have too much physiological strain. This is why it is also important to have a properly set FTP. But yeah with shorter efforts you should be able to push to the higher end and maintain that effort for all the sets.

I think this chart explains it well. Have to find that “sweet spot” of where you can ride to receive the most gains with the least amount of strain. This makes it repeatable from set to set, day to day. One of the greatest benefits of sweet spot.
