Drop in CTL on regeneration week

Curious how much of a drop in CTL one should expect to have at the end of a regeneration week from the previous week? I hate seeing this number go down after all the hard work raising it but realize it’s part of the recovery process.

Its the 'ol 1 step back to go 2 steps forward. The number really depends on your current CTL . You will be doing 30 - 40% less work than your previous week. But come the first week of the next training cycle you should be where you were before the regeneration week and then moving up from there.

The regeneration week is when you actually get faster. Your muscles regenerate from the training stress during this time. Without proper recover you can continue to build your CTL but just because your doing more work doesn’t mean you are in fact getting better.
