A 20 Minute Power-Based Field Test

New to Fastcat. I’m starting 16 week sweet spot next week. It’s not going to break 10 degrees F here in South Dakota much if any next week. I’m not excited to do a frozen test. I’ll keep that for fat bike fun.

Since I’m planning on doing a large chunk of the 16 weeks on Zwift with my Kickr bike, I’m planning on doing the 20 minute test on Zwift. Any problem I don’t see? I’m planning on using the workout in the training plan imported to Zwift or would one of the two Zwift 20 ftp test be a better option? Finally, for the winter and the rare days I get to ride my gravel bike or MTB outside, both pm equipped I’m assuming this test will be close enough. Should I plan on an outdoor 20 minute test once the weather turns to the good side, could be Apr or May.

You can do a field test indoors - be sure to turn off the ERG mode (that will limit you)
